I am sore...

I have no clue how you amazing women do it without your husbands home for the heavy lifting, I've been limiting myself and still can hardly move!!  I am so sore I could cry!  Our basement is officially done, everything is sorted as far as what to get rid of and everything we are keeping that is down there (except the wii) is packed.  PLUS our guest room is about 99% done and the livingroom is as done as it will get until Saturday because I need the TV for noise until then.
We had the moving sale part 1 yesterday and made $200 so that was AwEsOmE!!!  The moving truck rental will only be $250 so I'm pretty sure that will be completly covered for the trip after part two of the moving sale this weekend.  I am super excited but realtiy still hasn't hit I know that I am going to really miss all of my great friends here.

The dog has taken over my bed.  Hubby just walked in the bedroom while talking to me (I'm sitting on the couch) and informed me we might have to sleep on the couch tonight because the 13 pound dog was sprawled across the bed asleep and didn't even move when he petted her.  Nope Izzy isn't spoiled a bit is she??? :)

Good night all and thanks for all of the good moving JuJu.

Oh yeah, AND--Hubs has pretty much ruled out the Nuclear stuff and is looking at other job options where he won't have to worry about an age waiver so I'm trying to come up with a new name and a new blog layout is in the works too but it will probably be a couple of weeks before I get it up and running (and figure out what I want to name the blog!)

I GOT THE JOB!!!

I was offered the job at Phi Mu Foundation (www.phimufoundation.org) in Peachtree City, GA and am super excited!  I accepted the offer without hesitation now all it hinges on is a background check and drug test...I hope that speeding ticket I got in college doesn't matter because thats as close to a recod as I have :)
I've been apartment hunting online and I think the place we looked at while we were in Atlanta Saturday is my best bet/the place I will be most comfortable given what we can afford.
I need to get a golf cart.  Yes need!  The city was planned around nearly 100 miles of golf cart trails so people use their golf carts to get everywhere which I think is just awesome.  Especially the part where golf carts are electric so I can save money on gas!

SO  I have roughly 2 weeks to get ready to move.  I have decided we are having a Moving Sale on Saturday.  I have to do this all by myself...all of you super amazing Military Wives who are experts at this moving alone stuff please send me some good juju and advice because I know I'll need it!  My mom is comming up Saturday to help me get started but I'm not sure how long she'll be here or how long she will get to stay.

Another Interview!!!

Wish me luck!  I'm driving down to Atlanta tomorrow night with Hubby, I have an interview in Peachtree City on Saturday with my Soriority headquarters for a position working for their Foundation!!!  I would LOVE to get this job.  At this point I've given up on the theme park world job in Atlanta and have decided that I don't want to move...unless it is for this job.  SO I'll try to post via the iPhone but I don't know if we are going to take the computer so I might/probably won't be able to keep up with everyone elses blogs.  So don't feel left out if I don't comment on any blogs until Monday.
My friends Erica (who totally doesn't want me to move and who could blame her I pretty much rock) and Diver Boys Wife are going to watch the puppy dog so we didn't even have to worry about finding a pet friendly hotel.
Wish me luck...

weight loss update...only 2 months later...

So I have lost exactly 0 pounds since my last post...I have also gained exactly 0 pounds so I guess that makes it a little more ok.  I have been watching what I eat but not very closely (today I had strawberry rubarb pie for pi day and cookie dough ice cream) :)  I need a more structured plan if I'm going to do this.  I've been going to the gym but no results are really comming from just walking on the treadmill 3-5 days a week and doing yoga on my wii fit.  Glamour magazine has a 12 week program on their website (www.galmour.com/bbg) that sounds good.  The first week is a sort of clense but not in the lemon water with hot pepper way then from there you introduce more and more of your old foods.  They also give you a specific stregnth workout for the week and a pattern for rotating the stregnth training with your cardio.  I'm exicted I think I should be able to follow this fairly well.  Hopefully having set guidelines to follow will keep me on board.  It's not like I have a strict menu to follow but I will have to plan out my meals in advance which I'm completly ok with.

Wish me luck!

FYI--For now my blog is going to stay the same, however since hubby might not be able to go Nuke I might as well introduce myself for real  My name is Shanon (if my twitter name didn't give that away) and I am going to use it instead of nuclear wife from here on out.  My blog name/design may change in the future depending on what direction hubby and the navy choose to head but for now I figure why bother.

Night night all, I'm off to bed!

Help!

Ok blog-O-sphere. Hubbys recruiter is afraide his age waiver for Nuke won't go through apparently they've had a couple declined recently. We are trying to get info about some of his different options one that sounds good is intelligence he's looking at the linguist category online right now earlier he was looking at IS? He read the offshore rotation schedule and it sounded like 36 months on a boat 36 home? Could anyone shed some light on the wifely life of any jobs similar to these?
Thanks!

I promised awards over the weekend and completly forgot...then Miss Bethany @ A southern belle and her officer just gave me another one so don't I feel like a horrible person! Awards tonight or tomorrow, a real update tomorrow or Wednesday I promise!
Mini update--Friday was my last day at Kentucky Kingdom :( today was busy with class this morning and filing unemployment I did some homework and spent some quality time with the puppy dog :). Now hubby and I are going to meet some friends for dollar sushi night at a yummy local resturant.
Tomorrow I have a meeting with an accounting headhunter/recruiter to talk about jobs in the area and what I'm looking for. I also have a phone interview for a job with my sororities national foundation which would be in the Atlanta area (apparently I'm being drawn that direction for some reason) :). Wish me luck

hubby...

I'm spending some super quality time with hubby tonight...I'm sitting in the living room floor watching tv and playing on the computer, he's asleep on the couch...such is our marriage...

Still no word on the job at Six Flags in Atlanta :(

I had a second phone interview this evening for the job with my sorority foundation.  It sounds AMAZING I hope that they offer it to me because I would love it, only downside is relocating but that's going to happen eventually anyway so I might as well get used to it.

Met with a recruiter for the Louisville area yesterday, he sent me a description for a great job last night another great oppurtunity.

My KY Kingdom boss just sent me an email, he has a job offer on the table and just recieved word that they may be replacing/are going to be firing my counterpart at the same park soon asked if I want it....I'm considering it mut it is colder there than here and farther away from Charleston.  I'll deal with not being able to live with hubby when he's in school but this one is far enough away I might not be able to visit him regularly on weekends not sure if that is something I'm willing to do...I told him if I get fed up with the job search and it is still available I'll consider it but only after he and his family have moved there so I can get a real opinion from his wife on the weather instead of just the one weekend view.

Thats pretty much my life right now...Wish me luck!

Wow I can't believe it's been almost 3 months! SO much has happened and I honestly feel like I've barely had a chance to breath...
